Filmfest München: Blackbird

World premiere: A melancholic coming-of-age film based on Matthias Brandt’s novel of the same title. Morten wistfully reflects on his youth during the fall of 1977, a time when his parents were separating, he fell madly in love, and his best friend became seriously ill. At age 15, he finds solace at the outdoor pool, in David Bowie, and in soccer. A sassy and self-assured girl named Steffi will soon play an important role in his life.
