Filmfest München: SISTERS IN ARMS

World premiere: This adaptation of a novel is as furious as it is incisive in its indictment of white-majority society. While best friends Hani, Kasih, and Saya are meeting up in their old hometown, an arson attack is carried out on an apartment building and Saya is suspected of the crime. Is she a radical leftist? An Islamist? Kasih tells a reporter how the three of them came to be who they are today, and a tangled web of memories and contradictions unfolds.
